All year long- we come and go from home. From "Farm Haven".
We live in our dorm rooms, new houses and apartments. Adulting, in our unique ways.
Dad works countless hours, and spend his extra hours loving us all well.
Mom provides countless meals, gardens countless hours, and listens to all our hearts beatings and misfires.
Chris and I teach, create, lead worship, study, work, love, and make ends meet.
Jack studies the bible, and works his theatre department for countless hours.
Justin and Amber hustle their early mornings, and take on the professional world of artistry like they own it.
Jamey cultivates wisdom and kindness around him ... and eats... for countless hours.
Texts, calls, face-times and miles driven can't make up for doing daily life together.
So how do we embrace that we are converging on The Farm again?
We sing Josh Groban in the kitchen at the top of our lungs.
We play soccer and volleyball... just excuses to tackle each other to the ground.
We try to get out of doing dinner dishes, and pass it off on each other one at a time.
We play worship music, and three-part harmony it.
We talk about each others wins and failures openly, because within these walls... we don't have walls.
we go right back to the place we've always been...
but once there were just four.
now there are adopted cousins, girlfriends and spouses.
so now there are 7.
along with all the friends, family members, toddlers and teenagers that invade this place on the weekly.
this is home.
